Film footage released after 35 years shows the vivid scenes of the Little Boy (the bomb used on Hiroshima) and the Fat Man (used on Nagasaki) being dropped on the two cities. The bombs put 60,000 people in Hiroshima and 30,000 in Nagasaki to instant death. In the subsequent five months, the death tolls more than doubled in each city. Even after the War ended, the residual radioactivity kept eroding the bodies of the survivors.
