5279MEMORIAS DE UN MEXICANOMEMORIAS DE UN MEXICANO1986b & w46 minvhs A pioneer in the use of the motion picture camera in Mexico at the turn of the century, Salvador Toscano Barragan (1872-1947) was primarily a journalist whose filming of the Mexican Revolution represented one of the first uses of motion pictures for journalistic purposes in Mexico. During the revolution, he recorded extensively many of the historic events that shaped modern Mexico. Though Toscano favored certain leaders, he nonetheless faithfully recorded events and avoided using the camera to glorify his favorites. This edited version focuses on the key events of the Mexican Revolution.
