  • An estimated 40% of American veterans of the Vietnam War have had problems readjusting to civilian life. About a quarter-million are unemployed and thousands have become the forgotten wounded--the ones nobody wants to talk about. Focuses on the people, the War, its legacy and the lingering scars through the microcosm of one high school class. In contrast to the lionized returnees of World War II, who came back together, Vietnam veterans "trickled back" to a country unsure as to whether they had really served a national purpose.
